Cleveland Loses, 7-4, Despite Reppe Performance
Dwight Reppe had a good game, but he could not keep the Cleveland Bobcats from falling, 7-4, to the New York Knickerbockers at Knickerbocker Stadium. The Cleveland right fielder was 4-4 with 2 home runs and a double, while scoring 4 and driving in 2 in the loss. The save went to Steve Eaton, number 8 for him. The win gives New York a season record of 31-25.

In the bottom of the fourth, New York center fielder Ron Palmer had a productive at-bat. With runners on 1st and 2nd and one out, Palmer stroked a run-scoring single to right. It made the score 3-2, New York. For the game, he was 2 for 4 with 2 singles.

"Feels good to get the job done," Palmer said after the game.
