The Twin Cities Northmen earned a win at Twin Cities Stadium, knocking off the Seattle Emeralds, 4-3. On the bump for Twin Cities was right-hander Roger Long. He had a starring role in the triumph. Rick Lindstrom, who is tied for 6th in the ABL in saves with 6, earned the save for Twin Cities. Twin Cities is now 24-31, Seattle 27-29.

David Davalos, who finished 5th in the NBL in doubles with 36 in 1969, aided the Twin Cities cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the first baseman went 2 for 4 with a triple.

"If you ever get this game figured out," said Seattle manager Mark Velez, "let me know."
