Industrials Improve to 34-24 with 7-4 Win
Starting pitcher Jeff Munoz pitched well enough to help the Pittsburgh Industrials beat the Cincinnati Packers, 7-4. Munoz, now 7-4, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 3, walking 1, and allowing 3 runs. The second-place Industrials bumped their record to 34-24.

Pittsburgh used a timely hit from Jim Shuman to get the win. The third baseman stroked a bases-clearing double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Industrials ahead, 3-0. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Shuman said after the game.
