Milwaukee first baseman Tyree Davis pounded Denver Burros pitchers at Gates Crescent Park, but it was not enough to keep the Dairymen from falling, 12-8. Davis hit 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Picking up the save was Archie Sereni, his 1st. Denver is now 21-36, Milwaukee 18-39.

Denver took control in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, John Crabtree hit a run-scoring single to make it 9-8, Burros.

"It was great to come out and swing the bats," Crabtree told the Denver Times.
