Hartman K's 10 En Route to 3-1 Bulls Win
|
In a tight affair between the Kansas City Bulls and the Los Angeles Blockbusters, pitcher Mel Hartman was in the zone. The Kansas City right-hander helped his team win the game, 3-1. Andy Luce was called on to finish, recording his 2nd save. With the win over Los Angeles, the Bulls improved to 26-30.
Hartman was effective for Kansas City, seldom allowing the Blockbusters to square up a pitch. The right-hander tossed 113 pitches over 8 innings. He limited Los Angeles to just 1 run on 4 hits.
"I tried to mix it up, keep them off balance," said Hartman.
