Hawks Rocked By Emeralds, 10-1
|
The Seattle Emeralds defeated the Chicago Hawks, 10-1, at Puget Field. Seattle catcher Al Link had a superb performance. He was 3-4 with 2 doubles and a walk. He scored 4 runs and drove in 2. Chicago has now lost 6 in a row.
The Emeralds had to work out of trouble with one out in the top of the sixth. The score was 4-1, Seattle. But Chicago, with runners on 1st and 2nd, had mounted a threat. Don Bozza dug in at the plate. But on a first pitch sinker, Bozza hit into a double play.
