San Francisco Stymied by Hall
|
Ben Hall kept the opposition off the scoreboard and the Twin Cities Northmen were all smiles after winning, 1-0, against the San Francisco Seagulls at Twin Cities Stadium. The right-handed Hall gave up no runs in his start, permitted 2 hits, and tallied 6 strikeouts.
"If there was a stat for 'team shutout,' this would be it," Hall said later. "My catcher called a great game, guys delivered at the plate and when I messed something up the guys behind me were where they needed to be."
Checking out his stats for the season, Hall has notched 5 wins and 3 losses in 12 starts. His ERA is 2.28 and he's struck out 52 batters in 83 innings.
