Drillers Lose to Wolverines, 6-2
|
Detroit Wolverines starter Scott Litwak pitched well against the Houston Drillers at Wolverine Field, leading his team to a win, 6-2. Litwak got the win, improving to 5-3. He gave up 4 hits and walked 5 over 7 innings. He allowed 2 runs. The defeat makes Houston 37-21.
Gary Jordan helped out the Detroit cause in the bottom of the sixth inning with a run-scoring double. For the game, the first baseman went 1-2 with a double and 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"I went after the hitters," said Litwak. "No pussyfooting around."
