On Road, Dairymen Top Eagles, 7-2
|
Arnie Keilman, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 1965 draft, had a strong outing for the Milwaukee Dairymen against the Washington Eagles at Monument Field. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 7-2 win. The 5th-place Dairymen are now 27-29, the Eagles 31-27.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Reggie Bryce? The Milwaukee second baseman had a run-scoring double in the top of the first inning to put the Dairymen on top, 1-0. For the game, Bryce had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Bryce told the Milwaukee Times.
