Los Angeles Absorbs 2-1 Loss to St. Louis
In a well-pitched game between the St. Louis Explorers and the Los Angeles Blockbusters, pitcher Dick Lott was fantastic. The St. Louis right-hander helped his team secure the win, 2-1. Bernie Tate got the save, the 13th for him this season. St. Louis has now won 4 games in a row.

St. Louis right fielder Gary Parker helped the Explorers go up, 2-1, in the bottom of the sixth inning. With the game tied, Parker hit a run-scoring single off Los Angeles pitcher Jon Hampton.

"Tough loss," said Los Angeles manager John Trausch. "But we'll learn from it."
