Generals Win, 6-0, as Ovitt Mystifies Baltimore
|
It was not a good day at the plate for the Baltimore Lords. They came up empty when it mattered against Atlanta Generals right-hander Gary Ovitt, who scattered 5 hits across 9 innings and held the Lords scoreless.
"We had 5 hits so I know he wasn't completely untouchable, but he was close," Baltimore manager Steve Read said later.
Ovitt chalked up 5 strikeouts and 2 walks in the 6-0 Generals win.
To date this season, Ovitt has compiled a 4-8 record with a 3.35 ERA in 13 starts.
