The Milwaukee Dairymen took on the Chicago Traders at Union Field.

The Milwaukee Dairymen trumped the Chicago Traders, 6-2, at Union Field. Milwaukee first baseman Champ Arkle was terrific. He went 2-2 with 2 singles and 3 walks. At 25-34, the Dairymen claim last place in the National Baseball League Western Division.

Milwaukee used a well-timed hit by Gary Branan to capture the win. The third baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Dairymen ahead, 3-1. Though it was his only hit in 5 at-bats, it was important.

Branan called the win "a lesson in teamwork."
