Bulls Drop Eagles, 5-0
|
The Kansas City Bulls beat the Washington Eagles, 5-0, at Monument Field. Starting pitcher Tommy Glantz was a big reason why. He held his opponent in check all game. Glantz went 7.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 6, and struck out 8. His record improves to 4-4. The 4th-place Bulls have won 4 straight games.
Neil Fisher, the five-time All-Star , had a direct impact on the outcome. Fisher contributed a bases-clearing double in the top of the fourth inning to put Kansas City up, 4-0.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Kansas City skipper DD Martin.
