Dallas Beats Twin Cities, 4-3

The Dallas Wranglers beat the Twin Cities Northmen, 4-3. Dallas pitcher and Batabanó, Cuba, native Dario Perez led the way. Perez, now 5-5, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 3, walking 3, and allowing 3 runs. Frank Dunn notched his 16th save in 19 chances.
Pat Simmons, who finished 4th in the ABL in triples with 9 last year, helped out the Dallas cause in the top of the fifth inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the left fielder was 1 for 3 with a walk. He drove in 2 runs.
"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Simmons said.
The Wranglers saw their win-loss record go to 28-32. At the same time, the Northmen fell to 31-28.
