Pobladores Lose, 4-3, at Mission Field
|
The San Francisco Seagulls defeated the Los Angeles Pobladores, 4-3. Catcher Jose Barroso deserved a large share of the credit. Barroso was 2 for 2 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Seagulls. San Francisco pitcher Jerry Patrick got the win, upping his record to 8-3. Phil Lester got the loss. San Francisco has now reeled off 6 straight wins.
Bobby Tapia hit a run-scoring double off Phil Lester in the bottom of the seventh, which put the Seagulls in front, 4-3. In addition to the double, Tapia had 1 single, while going 2 for 4.
"You need to show up when your number's called," said Tapia.
