Riding the 2-hit performance of the 19-year old shortstop Ray Bell, the Milwaukee Dairymen stopped the Kansas City Bulls, 7-2, in 9 innings. The Dairymen, at 22-38, sit in last place in the National Baseball League Western Division.

Milwaukee used the timely hitting of Cliff Bragg to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Dairymen on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"Win or lose, we always try to grind it out and stay even-keeled," Bragg said in reaction to the win.
