The Boston Terriers beat the Baltimore Lords, 3-2, at Atlantic Avenue Grounds. Boston catcher Paul Knight had an outstanding performance. He went 2 for 2 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Bruce Shurtleff picked up the win with 9 innings of work. He allowed 2 runs on 13 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 4. On the season, he is now 2-0. At 5-1, the Terriers have played well so far.
Knight contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Boston in the bottom of the second. With his team trailing 1-0, Knight took a changeup from John Gannon and stroked the home run to left. His 2nd home run of the season allowed the Terriers to leap in front, 2-1.
"I really like what we did out there today," Knight said after the game.
