Wolverine Field was the site of a competitive game between the Detroit Wolverines and Twin Cities Northmen.

The Twin Cities Northmen picked up a win at Wolverine Field, knocking off the Detroit Wolverines, 5-3. Starting pitcher Charlie Sokol was a big reason why. Detroit drops to 3-3.

Twin Cities used a well-timed hit by Manny Pino to capture the win. The third baseman socked a run-scoring double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Northmen ahead, 3-1. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"Winning is hard sometimes," said Northmen manager G Maloney. "This one was nice to get."
