Lords Fall Short, 4-3, at Dallas
|
Baltimore first baseman Armando Landa had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Landa went 2 for 2 with a home run and 3 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once, even as Dallas beat the Lords, 4-3. Steve Coomes earned the win to go to 10-2. He allowed 3 runs on 8 hits, with 4 walks and 2 strikeouts in 7 innings of work. With the victory, the Wranglers upped their record to 45-15.
Rodney Holt hit a 2-run double off Jose Rodriguez in the bottom of the sixth, which put the Wranglers in front, 4-3. In addition to the double, Holt had 1 single, while going 2 for 4.
"There's a lot of passion in our clubhouse," said Holt. "When we put it together we're a great ball club."
