Streaking Bulls Win Another One, 6-2
|
The Kansas City Bulls extended their winning streak.
Getting an impressive start from Mel Hartman, Kansas City beat Washington by the score of 6-2. The winning pitcher was Hartman, now 8-1. He tossed 6.2 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 10.
It could have been a different outcome for Kansas City, had it not been for Eddie Tobin, the four-time All-Star . Tobin contributed a 2-run single in the top of the fifth inning to put Kansas City up, 5-2.
"Nice to keep our winning streak intact," said Tobin.
The Bulls, now 31-30, have won 6 in a row.
