Wranglers Topple Northmen with Late Rally
The Dallas Wranglers trumped the Twin Cities Northmen, 8-5, at Twin Cities Stadium. Dallas catcher Fred Johnson was terrific. He was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Picking up the save was 27-year old right-handed pitcher Frank Dunn. The Northmen, now 31-30, have lost 4 straight.

Dallas used a timely hit from Mike Shreve to get the win. The center fielder stroked a 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Wranglers ahead, 6-4. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a difference-maker.

"The vibe's good," said Dallas manager William Albrecht. "We've got to keep it going."
