Drillers Suffer 6-2 Loss to Chicago
The Chicago Hawks topped the Houston Drillers, 6-2, in American Baseball League action at Hyde Park Stadium. The standout performance belonged to Chicago pitcher and Liberty, Missouri, native Carl Taylor. With the victory, the Hawks upped their record to 36-28.

The Hawks got a big at-bat from second baseman Mike McManus. For the game, McManus went 1 for 4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 3rd double of the season gave Chicago a 3-1 lead.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Taylor told the Chicago Herald.
