Salazar Hits Two Homers in 11-3 Win for Seattle
The Seattle Emeralds defeated the New York Empires, 11-3. Center Fielder Roberto Salazar deserved a large share of the credit. Salazar was 3 for 4 with 2 home runs and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3 for the Emeralds. Seattle now owns a record of 30-32.

Seattle third baseman Fernando Jimenez contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the second. With two down, he hit a fastball to right-center field for a bases-clearing double. It was his 3rd double of the season and put the Emeralds ahead, 9-1.

Salazar told a Seattle News reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
