The Baltimore Lords locked up a win at Seton Hill Stadium, knocking off the Los Angeles Pobladores, 7-3. On the mound for Baltimore was left-hander John Pardoe. He played a major role in the triumph. The 6th-place Lords have won 4 in a row.

An inflection point occurred with no one out in the bottom of the third. That's when Lords left fielder Tom Payton hit a changeup from Jim Arndt for a 2-run single. Just like that, Baltimore was up, 2-1.

"It's always a heck of a lot easier to get to sleep after a win," Payton told the Baltimore Chronicle. "I know I'll rest easy tonight."
