The Twin Cities Northmen and Chicago Hawks completed their game despite the rain.
A 4-RBI performance from Buddy Shingleton, who is a eight-time All-Star, helped the Twin Cities Northmen beat the Chicago Hawks, 9-2. The loss drops Chicago to 4-3.
A key moment came with two out in the top of the third. That's when Shingleton hit a fastball from Ron Woods for a 2-run single, putting Twin Cities up, 4-0.
"Enjoyed this one," Shingleton told the Twin Cities Times. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
