Powers Lifts Burros to 17-9 Triumph
Billy Powers was a major contributor to the 17-9 Denver win over New York. The Burros shortstop was 3-3 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. The Burros are now 36-27, while the Knickerbockers fall to 32-32.

Denver first baseman Alejandro Rebolledo contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the first. With two down, he hit a curveball to left-center field for a 2-run single. It was his 70th hit of the season and put the Burros ahead, 8-0.

Denver manager Clark Anderson was pleased with the team's effort. "Our guys went out there and put good wood on the ball," he said.
