The Twin Cities Northmen turned back the Dallas Wranglers, 2-1, at Bluff Park. Edwin Gonzalez, in particular, had a fine performance. He threw 7.0 innings of 3-hit ball. Gonzalez got the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed 3 hits and walked 4 over 7 innings. Gonzalez allowed 1 run. Getting the save was Curt Kirkley, his 9th.
Bill Milligan, the 29-year old right fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Milligan contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the sixth inning to put Twin Cities up, 2-1.
