Chicago Gets 7-4 Road Win
Chicago and Milwaukee took Mother Nature's best shot and still managed to complete their ballgame.

The Chicago Traders beat the Milwaukee Dairymen, 7-4, at Milwaukee Municipal Stadium. Chicago third baseman John Sledd banged out 1 single and 2 doubles, while driving in 3 runs. Bobby Peters, the winning pitcher, improved to 7-7. He pitched 5.1 innings, giving up 8 hits and 4 runs, while striking out 2 and walking 2.

Chicago took a 7-4 lead on Sledd's 8th double of the season. The 2-run double, which he hit off Guillermo Ortega in the top of the eighth, propelled Chicago to the win.

"Chalk one up for the good guys," said Sledd. "I'm sure our fans enjoyed that win."

The 6th-place Traders are 27-36.
