Eagles Dump Industrials, 6-1
Pittsburgh had no answer for Washington Eagles starter Alberto Vinueza, who flummoxed Industrials hitters as the Eagles cruised to victory, 6-1. The winning pitcher was Vinueza, now 6-7. He tossed 8 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 4 and fanning 4. Washington is now riding a 3-game win streak.

Buck Townsend dealt the Industrials a blow in the bottom of the first. Batting with runners on 2nd and 3rd and Washington leading 2-0, Townsend hit a 2-1 cutter for a 2-run single.

"I made some pitches when I had to," said Vinueza.
