Baltimore Beats Atlanta, 7-3
|
Baltimore Lords starter Jose Rodriguez was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Atlanta Generals, 7-3. Rodriguez got the win, improving to 1-1. He allowed 4 hits and walked 4 over 8 innings. Rodriguez allowed 3 runs. The defeat makes Atlanta 2-5.
It could have been a different outcome for Baltimore, had it not been for Jim Pavlik, the 27-year old second baseman . Pavlik contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the third inning to put Baltimore up, 2-0.
"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Pavlik.
