Wranglers Winners, 5-3, Over Hawks

The Dallas Wranglers knocked off the Chicago Hawks, 5-3, in American Baseball League action at Hyde Park Stadium. Dallas pitcher and Kelso, Washington, native Barry Gilmore had an outstanding performance. Frank Dunn got the save, the 14th for him this season. The Hawks have now dropped 5 straight.
The Wranglers had to work out of trouble in the bottom of the ninth. The score was 5-3, Dallas, with one out. Chicago, with a runner on 1st, was mounting a threat. Jim Farrar dug in at the plate, but on a 1-0 fastball, he lined out.
