Despite a fine performance by center fielder Ron Eubanks, the Brooklyn Bluebirds lost to the Denver Burros, 6-5, in 11 innings. Eubanks went 1-1 with 2 walks. He scored 2 runs. The National Baseball League Western Division-leading Burros have a record of 42-24.

The decisive blow was delivered by Guillaume Moret in the bottom of the 11th when he hit a run-scoring double off former first round draft pick Bill Curry to win the game for Denver. The home crowd went nuts.
