Late Rally by Explorers Secures 4-2 Win
|
Getting an impressive start from Bob Trout, St. Louis beat Milwaukee by the score of 4-2. Milwaukee now owns a losing streak of 5 games.
St. Louis used the timely hitting of Fernando Martinez to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a 2-run single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Explorers on top, 4-2. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.
"Bob gets tougher when he has to, makes a big pitch when he has to," said St. Louis skipper Ray Fleetwood.
