Behind an impressive start by Rich Barron, Montreal beat Detroit, 4-1. Montreal reliever Hervé Lelièvre was the winner. His record is now 4-3. The losing pitcher was Juan Rodriguez. The Habitants, at 35-31, have now won 4 straight.
