Generals Suffer 10-1 Road Loss

Baltimore and Atlanta got after it at Seton Hill Stadium.
Mike Sheffield put on a hitting clinic in helping Baltimore beat Atlanta, 10-1. Sheffield had 2 singles and 2 doubles for the Lords. He also scored 1 run and knocked in 3. Kenny Wilson, credited with the win, is now 6-3. He allowed 1 run on 8 hits in 9 innings.
Bob Carter had a big 2-run home run for the Lords in the bottom of the third inning. With Baltimore trailing 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a fastball from George Palmer, who is tied for 10th in the ABL with a 6.2 K/9 rate, and punished it. The result was his 3rd home run of the season, which put the Lords on top, 2-1.
"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Carter.
The defeat makes Atlanta 27-36.
