The home crowd was treated to a thrilling, walk-off win.

The Denver Burros faced a tough opponent in Brooklyn pitcher Larry Mitchell, but found a way to pull out the victory at Gates Crescent Park by a final score of 5-4 in 12 innings. Mitchell went 7 innings and allowed 4 runs. With the win, Denver upped its record to 38-28.

The Burros got a clutch hit from third baseman Billy Powers. In the bottom of the 12th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Burros.

"We busted our humps out there," said Powers.
