Chicago Scrapes Out 3-1 Win
In a low-scoring affair between the Chicago Hawks and the Dallas Wranglers, pitcher Kevin Edwards was the difference between victory and defeat. The Chicago left-hander earned accolades for his stellar performance in the 3-1 Hawks win. Chicago has won 3 straight, while Dallas has lost 3 in a row.

Paul Backer provided a timely hit. The Chicago pinch hitter delivered a run-scoring triple in the top of the eighth inning to put the Hawks on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in the game, but he made it count.
