Terriers Deal Seagulls 6-2 Loss
|
The Boston Terriers topped the San Francisco Seagulls by the score of 6-2, with the largest share of the credit going to third baseman Larry Moses. Moses went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once for the Terriers. Boston reliever Kim Glanden got the win, raising his record to 1-3. Chuck Porter was tagged with the loss. The Seagulls, now 35-30, have lost 4 straight.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the tenth. With two out, Moses hit a cutter from Dennis Dixon for a grand slam home run. The Terriers, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
"Winning in the last at-bat, there's nothing else like it," said Moses.
