Blockbusters Prevail, 3-1, Over St. Louis
|
The Los Angeles Blockbusters went home winners at Blockbuster Stadium, thanks in large part to starter Wayne Guilmette. Guilmette stifled the St. Louis Explorers, enabling Los Angeles to grab the 3-1 win. Guilmette, now 2-0, was the winner. In 9 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 4, walking 3, and allowing 1 run. The win puts Los Angeles at 4-4.
Early in the game, Guilmette had a run-scoring double for Los Angeles. It was his 2nd double of the season and put the Blockbusters on top, 2-1.
"We'll sip on a cold one and savor this win," said Guilmette.
