The Boston Terriers bested the San Francisco Seagulls, 6-5, at Atlantic Avenue Grounds. Don Hatton was one of the standouts. He went 3 for 4 with 3 singles. He scored 2 runs. Mark Gaynor, now 4-2, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 1.1 innings. The losing streak for San Francisco has now reached 5 games.
Gary Williams, who finished 2nd in the ABL in slugging percentage with .544 last year, chipped in for Boston with a solo home run in the bottom of the eighth. For the game, the left fielder had 2 hits in 5 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 2 runs scored, and 1 RBI.
