Packers Get Past Pittsburgh for 4-3 Win
The Cincinnati Packers did just enough to sneak past the Pittsburgh Industrials, 4-3, at Roman Arena. Cincinnati pitcher Jackie Richardson, in particular, had a standout performance. Cincinnati is now 32-35, Pittsburgh 36-32.

The decisive blow was delivered by Stan Timmons in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a solo home run off 27-year old left-handed pitcher Ray Williams to win the game for Cincinnati. The home crowd went nuts.

"Jackie gets tougher when he has to, makes a big pitch when he has to," said Cincinnati skipper Martin Abresch.
