The Houston Drillers picked up a win at Sam Houston Field, downing the Chicago Hawks, 6-1. On the mound for Houston was right-hander Angel Colon, who played a pivotal role in the win. The Drillers have an impressive 43-27 record.

Colon allowed 1 run over 8.1 innings. He also racked up 10 strikeouts.

"Throwing strikes was the main thing," Colon said.
