Dallas Tacks 3-1 Loss on Seattle
|
In a low-scoring contest between the Dallas Wranglers and the Seattle Emeralds, former first round draft pick Rob Banas proved to be the difference. The Dallas right-hander earned props for his performance in the 3-1 Wranglers win. The winning pitcher was Banas, now 6-4. He tossed 7 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 4. Frank Dunn locked down his 11th save.
Dallas used a well-timed hit by Pat Simmons to capture the win. The left fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the first inning to put the Wranglers ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.
"When you have a good rhythm and good flow, it's nice to just go out there and pound the strike zone with confidence," said Banas.
The Wranglers, at 43-29, lead by one game in their division.
