Detroit Blanks Terriers, Black at His Best
|
In a splendid 4-0 shutout performance, Larry Black of the Detroit Wolverines subdued the Boston Terriers on a 1-hitter.
"He kept hitting his spots and putting up zeroes, so I kept sending him out there," Detroit manager Alex Wobbema said in postgame comments.
Black registered 2 strikeouts and 2 walks.
In 15 starts this season, Black has notched a 7-5 record and a 3.48 ERA.
