Big Bat Pays Off, Lasseter Player of the Week Monday, May 10th , 1976 It was an extraordinary week for Max Lasseter of the Toronto Hurons. First he goes on a hot hitting streak, batting .600, then he is voted the Player of the Week in the American Baseball League. Last week Lasseter went 12-for-20, racked up 2 home runs and 8 RBIs and scored 2 runs. It was a heck of a week for the Toronto first baseman. This season, Lasseter is batting .366 with 4 home runs. He has scored 11 runs and driven in 18. |
