Streak Finally Over, Golick Held Hitless
Sunday, April 18th , 1965
All good things must come to an end -- and so it was today for Randy Golick as he saw his 22-game hitting streak end. He went hitless in 3 at-bats at the hands of the Brooklyn Bluebirds.

It wasn't all bad for the 24-year-old right fielder and the Philadelphia Quakers however, as they defeated Brooklyn 2-0 at Flatbush Park.

When asked about his hitting streak, a smiling Golick laughed and said, "I guess my luck ran out today."

For the season Golick is currently batting .261 with no home runs and 3 RBIs. In 6 games he has reached base at a .320 rate and scored 4 runs to date.
