Steve Bittenbender Injured, Out for Season Friday, May 1st, 1953 The season is finished for Steve Bittenbender of the Montreal Habitants. The club announced today that he will forego the rest of the year because of injury. The Habitants starting pitcher suffered a torn ulnar collateral ligament while throwing a pitch in a recent game against the Seattle Emeralds. Team doctors said it would take at least 13-14 months to heal. |
