Gonzalez Agrees to 2-Year, $400,000 Deal Friday, February 25th , 1977 In a move expected to bring depth to the Industrials, Pittsburgh brass announced the signing today of first baseman Oscar Gonzalez. Gonzalez will be pocketing $200,000 per season, an amount some BNN analysts think might be too high. During his 1176-game career Gonzalez has batted .287 and collected 1031 hits, 120 home runs and 489 RBIs. |
