Hurons Not Competitive in 7-0 Loss to Baltimore
Friday, May 12th , 1967
Baltimore Lords hurler Jose Rodriguez was stingy with runs in his latest outing against the Toronto Hurons, shutting them out 7-0 on 7 hits.
"Jose was very aggressive tonight," Baltimore manager Jordan Wells said. "He threw everything he had with a lot of confidence."
Through 9 innings, Rodriguez tallied 13 strikeouts and allowed 1 walk.
"He was throwing strikes with all his pitches and mixing it up well," losing manager Jim Burns said. "Rodriguez has a sneaky fastball, and whatever that off-speed pitch was, it was keeping our timing off."
This year Rodriguez has gone 4-3 with an ERA of 2.70 and has 50 strikeouts in 56.2 innings.
