Player of the Week Trophy to Martinez Monday, April 11th , 1977 It was an extraordinary week for Alex Martinez of the Denver Burros. First he goes on a hot hitting streak, batting .632, then he is voted the Player of the Week in the National Baseball League. Last week Martinez went 12-for-19, racked up 2 home runs and 8 RBIs and scored 4 runs. It was a heck of a week for the Denver third baseman. |
