Recovery Slow for Bulls Mario Alva Saturday, April 16th , 1977 Mario Alva, shortstop for the Kansas City Bulls, was making great progress in healing knee tendinitis according to a team spokesman, but suffered a setback yesterday. "Mario was doing great in his rehab until he overdid it in a recent workout. Now doctors say it will be at least 1-2 weeks before he will be able to rejoin the club." In his season totals Alva has no home runs and a .278 batting average. |
