Quakers Wiley Blanks Bulls Sunday, August 4th, 1957 Paul Wiley of the Philadelphia Quakers shut out the Kansas City Bulls 3-0, stopped them on 5 hits and had 8 strikeouts and 1 walk in a strong outing at Independence Field today. "He just came out and was on the attack from the first pitch he threw," Philadelphia manager Jeff Green said later. "When Paul stays ahead in the count, he does well. That's the key."
