Washington Loses Ken Edwards for Season Thursday, September 3rd , 1959 Ken Edwards will soon find out from his doctors if his season will continue. The first diagnosis was not too positive and indicated the Washington starting pitcher could miss the remainder of the year. Edwards was injured while throwing a pitch in the Rough Riders-Knickerbockers clash at Knickerbocker Stadium recently. Doctors said he has a damaged elbow ligament and would be out a minimum of 12 months. In 26 starts this season Edwards has notched a 10-11 record and a 4.39 ERA. |
